Funeral mass took place Aug. 2 at St Lawrence R.C. Church, Weehawken, for Anthony Novembre, 82, of Elkin, N.C., formerly of Union City. He passed away July 27. He was a firefighter for Union City for many years before retiring as a captain. He was a veteran of the Korean War and belonged to the 82nd Airborne. Anthony was the husband of the late Marie Novembre; father of Anthony, Marc, and Emidio and his wife Nina; brother of Thomas, Lucia, Nicholas, Paul and Ronald; and also a grandfather of Isabella, Noah, Anastazia, Gianna, and Eric. He was a member of the American Legion West Hoboken Post and Union City Italian American of the year 2000. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
