To the Editor:
I just wanted to take a moment out of my hectic day to recognize the Bayonne Police Department. On Sunday, July 17, we were at swim lessons held at 16th Street Pool, when there was a sudden commotion. Apparently, a woman had collapsed and was not breathing. An off duty Bayonne police officer also at swim lessons, by the name of Lillo, and the pool manager rushed to her aid to help assist in stabilizing her while awaiting the expedient arrival of McCabe’s Ambulance.
Seeing an officer residing in the town he works in gives me a great sense of security.
