A funeral service was conducted July 26 for John Roger Grasser Sr., 87, a lifelong resident of West New York. He passed away July 23 at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a manager for Evan Picone, North Bergen, before retiring. John was a member of the Hudson County Democratic Committee, West New York and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Guttenberg. He also worked as a housing inspector for the Town of West New York. He was the husband of the late Doris Grasser; father of John R Grasser Jr. and Kevin C. Grasser; grandfather of Jennifer Crecco and 3 great-grandchildren.
