Funeral mass took place July 22 at St. Paul’s Church in Ramsey for Kenneth J. Braun, Jr., 55, formerly of Union City. He died suddenly on July 18. Born to the late Kenneth J. and Rita (Turdo) Braun, Sr., he was a graduate of Union Hill High School, Union City. He was a tremendous athlete who led Union Hill’s football team in 1974 to their state championship. He worked in the shoe industry for 35 years. During this time Ken was a VP for Steve Madden’s Men’s Line for 8 years and was currently with Riplay of CA. Survived by his wife Debra (nee Rothman); children, Kenneth J. Braun, III and Jenna N. Braun; siblings, Diane (Braun) Kellenberger (husband Joe), Marianne (Braun) Taormina and Frank Braun, Pat Russo and Virginia Longo; father-in-law Herbert Rothman; sisters-in-law Nancy (Rothman) Zweben (husband Barry), and Cindy Rothman (spouse Amie); and many nieces and nephews.
