A funeral mass took place Aug. 5 at St. Joseph of the Palisades Church for Annmarie Hughes, 50. She passed away Aug. 1. She was born in Jersey City and lived for many years in West New York before moving to North Bergen. She was a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School and worked at the West New York Town Hall for 16 years where she was recognized for kindness and dedication to helping people. She was also a member of the CWA Local 1045 of West New York. Annmarie was the wife of Michael Hughes and the daughter of the late Helen and Frank Mullen Sr. She was the sister of Helen Prout, Kathleen Boland, Peggy Healy, Michael Mullen, Frank Mullen Jr. and the late Patrick Mullen. She was the sister-in-law of Debra Mullen, Lori Mullen, Carol Ann Maloney, Maureen Dattoli, Kathleen Friedel, Bonnie Hicks, Maurice Prout, John Healy, Tom Hughes and Tim Hughes. She is also survived by 10 nieces, 15 nephews and countless cousins, relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
