Funeral mass took place July 29 at Our Lady of Libera Church for Gloria G. Sutich, 88, of Boonton. She passed away peacefully on July 25 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover. Born in Jersey City to Charles and Marie Menge, she was a graduate of Dickinson High School. On Nov. 17, 1946, she married the love of her life, Christian Sutich. She spent most of her married life in North Bergen, where she was active in her church, St. John’s Church in Guttenberg, and her community, while raising six children. Her husband predeceased her in 1992. She loved to travel and visited many countries. A volunteer for Deborah Hospital, she was recognized by the hospital for her long and dedicated service. Gloria is survived by a daughter, Christie Meehan and her husband Michael; by five sons, Mark C. Sutich and his wife Sharon, John A. Sutich and his wife Doris, Matthew C. Sutich, Paul Sutich and Joseph Sutich and his wife Bianca. Gloria is survived as well by eleven grandchildren, Jessica Sutich, Shawn and Emma Meehan, Rose and Victor Peng, Daniel, Michael and John Sutich, Brian Sutich, Kimberly Sutich and Onesemiah Sutich. She is also survived by a sister, Doris Parelli, a brother-in-law, John P. Sutich and his wife Rosemary, a brother-in-law, Hang Ptak and six nephews and their families.
