Jersey City to open four shelters from storm; Hoboken and Weehawken stick with one

HUDSON COUNTY — The city of Jersey City said they planned to open four shelters this weekend for those needing refuge from Hurricane Irene. They also said they will decide by Saturday at noon whether to issue evacuation orders.
Hoboken is sticking with just one shelter at the Wallace School and will no longer use Hoboken High School. They said they will bus people to Union City if they need to.
In northern Hudson County, residents can use Weehawken High School at 53 Liberty Place.
