Dear Editor:
Earlier this year during state wide legislative redistricting the HCDO political bosses plotted and succeeded in changing the boundaries of 33rd legislative district by removing West New York, NJ and Guttenberg, NJ from the 33rd district and putting both communities in the new 32nd legislative district. Furthermore, they added half of Jersey City to new 33rd legislative district. These changes were made not for the good of people, but to hurt and weaken Union City Mayor 33rd District State Senator Brian P. Stack. The HCDO political purpose was to defeat Brian P. Stack, in a future election by making legislative part of Jersey City, more populated then Union City, which had always been the largest community in the 33rd district.
What a mistake these political bosses made by making this decisions. Unlike another typical Hudson County politician, 33rd district Senator Brian P. Stack, accepted these changes in his new legislative boundaries with a vision and great opportunity to work harder and serve his new constituency. Although, Senator Stack, will not officially represent new 33rd district until January, 2012, already he has an open mobile Senator Office this summer to help and offer his services to his new constituency in Jersey City.
This comes as a breath of fresh air to the citizens of Jersey City Heights, because they have been neglected for so long by their elected officials. Their Councilman Bill Gaughan, is more concerned with serving Mayor Healy, and HCDO political bosses than his constituency. The fact of the matter is that citizens of Jersey City have never had these services that Senator Stack, is providing them this summer.
Hopefully, their new Senator Stack, can serve as example to Councilman Gaughan, and teach him on how to represent and work hard to resolve the issues and problems facing the Jersey City Heights. In closing I will like to remind the citizens of new 33rd legislative district and the people of West New York and Guttenberg who are now represented by new 32nd legislative district that you are all part of extended family who Brian P. Stack, will always serve with pride, hard work, and dignity in the New Jersey, State Senate.
God Bless America,
Celin J. Valdivia
