Funeral services took place Aug. 15 at the Calvary CME Church, Jersey City, for Diane Davis. She passed away Aug. 8. She was born to Anna Mae and the late Elmer Davis, Sr. She received her education in the Jersey City public school system. Diane graduated from the Wilfred Academy for Hair Design along with her mother in the 1980s. She assisted her brother, James Clayton Davis, at the Real Deal Unisex Barber Shop in Jersey City. Diane was predeceased by her father, Elmer Davis, Sr. Surviving are her mother, Anna Mae Davis, James E. Howell, her grandmother, Anna Bell Williams, her siblings, Elmer Davis Jr., Michael Davis, Rodney Davis , Rhonda Davis and James Clayton Davis. Also surviving is a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special best friend, Pamela Boston, and her companion, Wayne Richardson.
