WEEHAWKEN — Weehawken held the unveiling of its 9/11 memorial on a rainy Wednesday in front of more than 200 attendees. The construction for the new waterfront memorial started almost five months ago. Two steel tridents were unveiled at the end of the ceremony. They are remnants of structural columns of the World Trade Center measuring 30 ft. tall and 16 ft. long. The tridents are in the middle of an infinity pool. Each base includes the names of organizations providing support for 9/11.
