GAL, RONETA

A funeral mass was offered at The Church of The Ascension in Bradley Beach for Roneta Gal, 77. She died Sept. 25 after enjoying her Bradley Beach residence for the summer. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Gal and is survived by her son, Michael Gal and his wife Barbara of Rossmoor, California. Other survivors include her niece Carol Bemis and her husband Martin and their children Thomas and Matthew of Jamaica Vt. In addition, she leaves behind numerous other nieces and a nephew. Roneta retired in 1994 from Dickinson High School after 37 years of service with the Jersey City public school system. She graduated from St. Dominic Academy in 1952 and Caldwell College in 1956. She belonged to numerous clubs and organizations. In Jersey City they included: St. Anthony’s seniors, OLC Seniors, Polish Women Alliance of America-Council President and Charter Member of the Liberty Science Center. In Monmouth County they included: Catholic Daughters of AmericaHoly Spirit Church, Asbury Park, Immaculate Conception Society-Mt St. Carmel, Asbury Park, First Friday group-Avonby-the-sea, Gerard League, Sterling, Church of the Ascension Bible Study group, Bradley Beach and Shore Sweets Red Hats. Services arranged by The Buckley Funeral Home, Asbury Park.
