WEST NEW YORK — Want to leave your dog in your car? Someone may be watching you.
On Sept. 30, at 11:45 p.m. West New York police arrested a Hopatcong man, 55, and charged him with cruelty to animals.
According to the police, “Officer Tate Whisten observed a German Shepard left in a parked [car on] 56th Street. After the vehicle was towed and the animal warden was notified, [the man] came into headquarters to pick up his vehicle and dog and was placed under arrest.”
The report did not indicate whether the windows were up and what the man was doing in West New York.
