Rude behavior uncalled for

To the Editor:
I didn’t know that when a resident wants to speak at the council meetings, it means they may come under fire if Charles D’Amico doesn’t like the person or the question the person asks. When Mr. La Pelusa got up to ask his question at a recent council meeting, he addressed the council with respect they deserve and asked his question. I didn’t know Mr. D’Amico was an elected official who now has the authority to answer for the directors and council members. He was rude and very obnoxious. Mr. Ruane doesn’t know how to control a council meeting at all. He sat there and had a dumb look on his face as if he condoned what Mr. D’Amico did.
Mr. La Pelusa is a resident and a taxpayer. He has had a business in this town for over 20 years. I don’t know how Mr. La Pelusa stayed so calm up there. I give him a lot of credit. There should be more people in this town who still care like he does. He doesn’t have to go up there and put up with people as unprofessional as Mr. D’Amico. So many people in this town are afraid of the fact that if they come out and speak their minds, they will be reprimanded by the bullies of Bayonne. Mr. D’Amico should be ashamed of himself. He and Mr. Ruane should step down and resign. You men are a disgrace to the city council and the City of Bayonne, as well as the entire human race.
