Secaucus-based attorney charged with attempted murder

SECAUCUS AND BEYOND — In what police said was an alleged domestic violence incident, a 44-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed by a 47-year-old attorney in a Harmon Cove home on Thursday night, according to NJ.com.
Todd Gorman has been charged with attempted murder with a kitchen knife. He made his first court appearance on the charges on Sept. 30 in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
Gorman was also charged with aggravated assault for “purposely or knowingly causing bodily injury to [name omitted]” by use of deadly weapon, specifically by stabbing the victim numerous times with a large serrated bread knife. He is also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to news reports.
The woman was taken to Jersey City Medical Center and was released several hours later.
