Funeral mass was held Sept. 23 at Immaculate Conception Church for Cosmo D. Amato, 82, a 49 year resident of Secaucus. He passed away surrounded by his family on Sept. 19. He was the husband of Rose (nee DeFazio) Amato for 54 years; father of Victoria Amato and Michael and his wife Susan; grandfather of Kayla and Samantha Amato; and brother of the late Domenico, Franco, Giovanni and Serafina. Cosmo was born on in Molfetta, Italy, and served in Italian Merchant Marines. Cosmo worked in construction for 20 years, and retired from Union Camp after 18 years of service. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
