HOBOKEN – As part of the county’s construction on (and under) the 14th Street Viaduct in Hoboken, beginning on Oct. 27, cars will be unable to turn left from Willow Avenue onto the viaduct to go westbound. The viaduct leads up to Jersey City Heights and Union City from uptown Hoboken.
A detour will be provided, according to a county release.
As part of the construction, the road will eventually see major upgrades and the area underneath the viaduct will be transformed into recreation space. The viaduct will remain open throughout the construction process. – Ray Smith
