High Tech High Musical School Theatre presents show

The High Tech High Musical School Theatre begins its 2011-2012 season with a new production of “Xanadu – The 80’s Inspired Roller Boogie Musical.”
The play is based on the film starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly and features the music of Newton-John and the Electric Light Orchestra.
Performances will take place Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m., Friday Nov. 18 at 3 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Black Box Theatre in High Tech High School.
Tickets are available for purchase at the school box office at 2000 85th Street.

The Park Players seek musical directors

The Park Players, a Hudson County Theatre group, are looking for musical directors for their up and coming 2012 season.
Currently in their 32nd season, the Players recently performed “And Then There was Nun” at Antonia’s by the Park restaurant in July.

WBC international heavyweight champ Mariusz Wach to fight at Mohegan Sun

Undefeated North Bergen boxer Mariusz Wach (25-0, 13 KO) by way of Krakow, Poland will take on former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall (56-11, 37 KO) of Chicago at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

North Bergen resident launches photo exhibit

North Bergen native Joe Lepore is launching a photo exhibit, titled “Candid North Bergen,” on Saturday, Nov. 12 at the North Bergen Public Library at 8411 Bergenline Ave.
Lepore is known by friends as “Spiderman” for his ability to capture photos and images from high above trees and rooftops. His exhibit will showcase James J. Braddock North Hudson Park.
