A funeral mass was offered Oct. 28 at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Jersey City, for Dolores Thomas of Jersey City. She died peacefully on Oct. 25. Dolores was born in Jersey City, and was a lifelong resident. She was a Jersey City crossing guard for 30 years, serving the children of Jersey City Heights. She was a member of the Paterson Street Seniors. Dolores was the wife of the late Robert Thomas Sr. and mother of the late Edward and Alfred Thomas. She was the mother of Robert Thomas Jr. and his wife Ann; mother-in-law of Marie Thomas; grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of six. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
