RUBINO, CLAUDIA

A funeral mass was offered Oct. 31 at Our Lady of Mercy Church for Claudia Rubino, 59. She died Oct. 25 under hospice care at her home. A lifelong Jersey City resident, she was the daughter of the late Marie ‘Minnie’ (Imbriglio) and Daniel Fraraccio. Claudia was a clerk for the last 12 years for the Jersey City Board of Education at Ferris High School. Prior to that, she and her late husband, Jimmy, who died March 23, 2000, were proprietors of CandJ Deli, located at the corner of Romar and Bartholdi Avenue in the Greenville section from 1984 thru 1997.
She was involved in Our Lady of Mercy School Mothers’ Club, the Marist High School Parents Association and many local sports events. She was a volunteer at the concession stand for the College Little League. She was the wife of the late James Rubino; mother of Matthew, Jaime and Jodi Rubino; sister of Diane Aversa and Gail Bober. Claudia was loved, respected and admired by her many friends. She will not be forgotten. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
