BAYONNE — Acting in a coordinated effort, two police officers were able to rescue a 45 year old Bayonne woman from the roof of a Kennedy Boulevard residence while two other officers talked to her to keep her from jumping during an incident shortly after 8 a.m. on Nov. 29.
The woman’s husband had called the police when she climbed out onto the roof threatening to jump, police said.
A police spokesperson said the officers in front of the building tried first to talk the woman down, and when that failed, they kept her distracted while two other officers were able to pull her away from the edge.
She was transported to Bayonne Medical Center after the incident.
