Under the direction of Art teacher, Rachel Therres, Middle School students at All Saints Episcopal Day School in Hoboken designed and created a mural for the St. Matthew’s Lunchtime Ministry. From start to finish, this project was driven by the creativity and capability of the students. Students were first presented with artworks related to the theme of “Creation” and were then asked to create a sketch of their version of creation. From there, the class discussed the strongest aspects of the sketches and puzzled those parts together to create the final composition which they then transferred onto canvas and painted.
