Fifty-two seniors were inducted as members of the McNally-Sinnott Chapter of the National Honor Society

James C. DeAngelo, ’85, Principal of Saint Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, has announced that fifty-two seniors were inducted as members of the McNally-Sinnott Chapter of the National Honor Society during a ceremony on Thursday, November 3, 2011, recognizing their excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Highlights of the induction ceremony included reflections on the four areas of excellence that have defined NHS members since the society’s creation in 1921, given by the chapter’s officers for this year. Incoming president Mike Geltrude (Nutley) spoke on leadership; vice president Alex Garber (Short Hills) on character; secretary Joseph Walter (Bayonne) on service; and treasurer Ryan Ulrich (North Arlington) on scholarship. The chapter’s Moderators are Sr. Frances Marie Duncan, OSF of the Science Department and Michael Settembrino, ’01 of the Mathematics Department.
The following Bayonne residents, pictured L. to R., were inducted: Ryan Norton, William Sabbers, Anthony Cannarozzo, Brian Franconeri, Patrick Jarczewski, Frankie Guarini, Joseph Walter, Michael Cannarozzo, Victor Sedlacko, Charles Weening, Joshua Matus, Damian Suarez, and Eric Clappsy.
