This was a test…it was only a test

STATEWIDE — A mistaken emergency text sent by Verizon to customers in Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties caused alarm in Central Jersey on Monday, according to various media sources.
Emergency responders received numerous calls with questions, but Verizon said the alert was only a test; they just forgot to label it as such.
