GALLAGHER, KENNETH F

A mass of Christian burial took place Nov. 30 at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, for Kenneth F. Gallagher, 86. He passed away Nov. 24 in Morris Township. Born in Hoboken, he lived in Denville since 1966, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 11. He graduated from Seton Hall University and received a master’s degree in education. He worked in the Hoboken school district for many years, as a teacher of accounting and as vice principal of Hoboken High School, and was principal of the Demarest Elementary School, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church where he served as a minister and lector. He was a member and past commander of V.F.W. Post 2519 in Denville. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna “Nancy” Gallagher; his children and their spouses, Michael and Ellen Gallagher, Maureen and Peter O’Halloran, Daniel and Patricia Gallagher, Kenneth J. and Catherine Gallagher, Robert and Elizabeth Gallagher, and Anne Marie and Terry McHugh; his 18 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and his brother, John Gallagher, and his wife, Geraldine. Services arranged by the Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville.
