Thanks to the supporters of the BHS Instrumental Music Department

To the Editor:
This past fall, the newly formed Bayonne High School Band Foundation held its first fundraiser, titled “Comedy Night on Broadway,” featuring comedian Jeff Norris. The event was a huge success and raised funds for the instrumental music department of Bayonne High School.
The foundation would like to acknowledge several members of the community who donated their time to help make this event possible: Lenny Mecca of Accem Warehouse Inc., Alfredo Godoy of Fidelis Security Company, Mr. and Mrs. Smerda of Amobelge Shipping, High Spirits on Broadway, “The Jersey Journal,” “The Bayonne Community News,” Rich McMahon, Keith Sorrentino, Dave Pestkowski CPA, Alex Rucando, and Jeff McKeon. Their efforts truly helped the success of the night – thank you! Finally, we would also like to thank those in attendance that night and look forward to their continued support of our program.
Our next fundraiser will take place at Mona Lisa Pizzeria and Ristorante on Fifth Street and Broadway. Dine in and enjoy their delicious Italian cuisine between the hours of 4 and 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, and Mona Lisa will generously donate to the foundation 20 percent of your bill. Please mention that you are a supporter of the BHS Band to your wait staff. We hope to see you all there!
