Secaucus, the little town with a huge heart

Dear Editor:
All of us at Tomorrows Children’s Fund have come to recognize that Secaucus is the little town with a huge heart. In late October, Pat Belenski from Mayor Michael Gonnelli’s office contacted us to inform us that Tomorrows Children’s Fund had been selected to receive proceeds from Secaucus’ First Annual Community Ball. This special night was to honor Ava Krajewski, a resident of Secaucus and an adorable little girl who is fighting cancer and receiving medical care at our facility. The outpouring of support for this family and for our foundation was amazing! Over 600 people filled the event raising over $40,000 for our special children.
A few weeks later, Secaucus residents supported a Get Together Night to benefit Tomorrows Children’s Fund at Wendy’s on Meadowlands Parkway. We were again amazed by the true spirit shown by local residents to help our young children.
There are not enough words to express our sincere appreciation for the kindness the residents of Secaucus continue to share with us. For over 30 years, Tomorrows Children’s Fund has strived to make each day brighter for the children we care for who are fighting cancer or a serious blood disorder. We are so very grateful that these caring friends are helping us to provide a tomorrow for every child.
