Lexus of Englewood celebrated the arrival of the redesigned 2013 Lexus GS 350 Sedan on Jan. 23 with a Broadway Nights theme in which prizes included dinner for two in New York, two Broadway show tickets and round trip limousine transportation.
The catered Launch Event drew a packed crowd as enthusiastic applause greeted the sleek, state-of-the-art GS under showroom spotlights.
“Here, ladies and gentleman, is the future of luxury driving,” announced Carmine DeMaio, president of Lexus of Englewood.
“We believe that this amazing 2013 GS 350 epitomizes Lexus’ new design direction,” said DeMaio. “Every element of this vehicle invites participation – both visual and tactile. Its design is something drivers will need to experience and not just observe.”
More than 500 people attended the event, elegantly catered by River Palm Terrace. A hostess demonstrated the many new features of the vehicle including 25 percent more trunk space, 12.3” split screen, high resolution multimedia display, sculptured tail lamps and sleek front grille. By the end of the evening, 20 customers had signed up to acquire the new Lexus when models become available in a few weeks.
The new GS was re-engineered to provide greater interior room on a chassis with a wide, strong stance that inspires and rewards driver participation with crisp and precise handling. The GS is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) with a base MSRP of $46,900 or all-wheel drive (AWD) with a base MSRP of $49,450. The configurations are available as F-SPORT models or can be equipped with the available Premium or Luxury packages for greater personalization.
The new GS navigation system provides access to the next-generation Lexus Enform Application Suite. Users can conduct local searches through Bing, or utilize voice-enabled apps to make restaurant reservations through OpenTable, get movie tickets or tap into internet radio, including Pandora or iHeartRadio.
They will also appreciate the ability to check-in on Facebook, and search for various business reviews, including restaurants on Yelp. SiriusXM data services offer information on stocks, traffic, weather, sports and fuel prices. Enform is supported on iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
