Funeral mass was performed Jan. 24 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Guerriero Gasbarro, 93. He passed away in the presence of his family on Jan. 19 in North Bergen. Born in Castel Di Sangro, Italy, province of Abruzzo, Mr. Gasbarro came to the United States in 1955, settling in Hoboken with his late wife Yolanda (nee DiVito). In 1965, he and his wife established Gasbarro Grocery Store located at 525 Park Avenue in Hoboken for more than two decades. He will be missed by his son Mauro and his daughter in law Carol; a daughter Marcella and her husband Ferdinando; and his two grandsons Giancarlo and Carl. Mr. Gasbarro was a dedicated parishioner of St. Ann’s Church, a daily communicant, a member of its Holy Name Society, and Rosarian and adorationist. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
