‘An honor and a pleasure’

To the Editor:
As indicated in Mayor Mark Smith’s recent letter to me, I will no longer be serving as a commissioner on the Bayonne Planning Board. Also, in the interest of rotating commissioners, my service will not be renewed and therefore is no longer required by the mayor, effective immediately.
As such, in the absence of not being given the opportunity to participate in any further meetings, I would like to take a moment to publicly thank former mayor Joseph V. Doria Jr. and current Mayor Mark Smith for instilling their confidence in me to serve on the Bayonne Planning Board over the last nine years.
It has been an honor and a pleasure to have served with such distinguished members of our community who volunteer their time in the best interest of our city. I am truly grateful for the collaboration and camaraderie and hope to work with them again in some other capacity in the future.
To the members of the Bayonne community, I would like to thank you for your support over the last nine years while representing the best interest of our city and I hope to continue serving the Bayonne community again in the future.

JOE PINEIRO
Fmr. Commissioner
City of Bayonne Planning Board
