A funeral mass was held Jan. 13 at St. Anthony’s Church for Thomas Torre. He passed away Jan. 9. Husband of the late Rosalie, Thomas was a father to his daughters Gina Torre and Rosalie Torre as well as a grandfather to Jennifer Torre and Jillian Torre. He was predeceased by two sisters, Antoinette Simmons and Marie Solkowski, and a brother, Patrick Torre. A Korean War veteran of the US Army, he would return home and join the North Bergen Fire Department, rising to the rank of captain over the next 40 years before retiring in 1991. Thomas was an avid member of the North Hudson Pigeon Racers Assoc and a member of the American Legion. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
