MEEHAN, ANNA LEO

A mass of Christian burial was performed Feb. 1 in St. Martha’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant for Anna Leo Meehan, wife, mother, grandmother, and Nonna. She passed away peacefully on Jan. 29. She was born to Mary and Ralph Leo and raised in Hoboken. Anna spent most of her years teaching at Our Lady of Grace Elementary School. She shared with her students her compassion and kindness. After retiring to the Jersey Shore, she dedicated her life to her family and helping raise her seven granddaughters. You could often find her Saturday evenings at St. Martha’s 5 o’clock mass. She was predeceased by her mother, father and three of her four siblings, Alexander, Josephine, and Ralph. She is survived and remembered by her husband of 62 years, Walter Meehan, her brother and sister in law Gerry and Cathy Leo of Manchester, her sons and daughters in law, Allie and Judy Meehan of Beach Haven, and Eddie and Marianne Meehan of Brick. Her daughter and son in law Maryann and John Ravally of Brick, her seven granddaughters: Brianne Meehan, Caitlin Meehan, Kelly Mullen, Megan Watkins, Dina Rockafellow, Juliana Ravally, Marielle Ravally and her four great grandchildren: Aiden Rockafellow, Brendan Mullen, Gavin Mullen and Alexandra Meehan.
