Guttenberg Police executed a prostitution sting Wednesday, Jan. 18 that led to arrests and charges against seven different individuals, police say.
According to Captain Joel Magenheimer, police had discovered that individuals were distributing business cards advertising for car repair, computer repair, home improvement, and other services. The individuals would also allegedly inform callers that sexual services were available, police say.
Police also indicated that the alleged prostitutes would allegedly travel to the residences of the individuals allegedly interested in engaging in sexual acts. These individuals’ homes were also sometimes allegedly robbed by each of the men accompanying the women.
At 5:30 p.m. on the 18th, police set up a sting operation and arrested and charged four women who allegedly offered sexual services. Three males that had allegedly dropped the women off were also arrested, police say.
Yong Hua Fan, 42, Queens N.Y.; Julio Gamezelvir, 51, Newark; and Robert Turner, 33, North Carolina, were charged with promoting prostitution and transporting for prostitution purposes, according to Magenheimer.
Raguel Castillo, 24, Ohio; Ngalee Hung, 43, Carolina Romero, 28, and Ana Chigo, 34, all of Queens, N.Y., were charged with engaging in prostitution. Bail was set at $5,000 each with a ten percent option for each, police say.
