Dear Editor,
Earlier this month, my family had the joy of having our newborn son at Hoboken University Medical Center (HUMC). I write this letter to share our family’s experiences at HUMC, and to express our sincere and deep gratitude for their service and assistance in caring for our newborn.
While I was dealing with issues related to HUMC in a different context last year, the birth of my son at the hospital was our first major interaction with HUMC on a personal level. I am very pleased and proud to say that in HUMC, we have a truly wonderful asset to our community in Hoboken. The entire maternity ward at HUMC, led by Robin Thompson, was incredible, from the nurses to the physicians and other staff. We were treated with the utmost compassion, care, attention and the highest level of health care treatment. You can really tell that the nurses, physicians and entire staff take their jobs seriously and genuinely care about the patients they serve. And for a Hoboken resident, there could be nothing more convenient than having a hospital in town, walking distance from our home.
If you expecting a newborn, and are considering HUMC as an option, rest assured you will receive treatment and service of the highest caliber in the Tri-State area. On behalf of the entire Bhalla family, thank you HUMC for setting a high standard for excellence and patient care, and most importantly, thank you for continuing to make Hoboken proud.
Sincerely yours,
Ravinder S. Bhalla
Hoboken City Council President
