HOBOKEN – Fundraisers for those left homeless after last month’s fire on Washington Street in Hoboken have raised several thousand dollars. Another fundraiser is slated for this Thursday, March 8 during a regular monthly series at Hoboken’s Guitar Bar.
Guitar Bar’s “Hour of Power” is an event in which the “Guitar Bar All-Stars” – made up of the Guitar Bar’s staff and teachers – cover classic bands and songwriters and pass the hat around for a local charity.
Last month, the Guitar Bar All-Stars tackled Neil Young. It was such a success that the All-Stars will dig deeper into Neil Young’s catalog at Mulligan’s (159 First St., Hoboken) on Thursday March 8 at 9 p.m. This month’s proceeds will be donated to the victims of the 300 Washington St. fire.
