JERSEY CITY – City officials have announced that due to an alarm malfunction at the Jersey City Municipal Court, the 9 a.m. session for today, Wednesday, has been canceled. The cases scheduled for this session will be rescheduled and the parties will be notified in the mail.
At this time, the afternoon session which begins at 1 p.m. is expected to proceed as normal, according to city spokesperson Jennifer Morrill.
“Until the alarm system is restored, the public should be advised that court phone lines will not be answered and anyone looking for information should continue to monitor the City of Jersey City’s website. We thank you for patience as we work to resolve this situation.”
