Private services have been held for Thomas F. Lannon, 69, of Jersey City who passed away Thursday, March 29 at Hamilton Park Nursing Home after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, A veteran of the US Air Force and a life member of D.A.V. Post 25, in his younger years Thom was a singer with “Thom Lannon and the Exceptions” band. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and prior to that he worked for Prudential Life Insurance in Sales. Son of Eleanor (nee: Grabowski) and the late John Lannon, he is also survived by his wife Diana (nee Rubel), children Kelly and Jeffery (Lisa) Lannon, a brother James and a sister Mary Kaye Hunt. Thom was the grandfather of Heather, Thomas, Chelsea, Nicholas, Christopher, Samantha and Alexa. Srervices arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
