What’s really going on with the DPW?

Dear Editor:
After reading your recent article – North Bergen hires slew of lawyers in state probe of township DPW, March 29 – I have to wonder why exactly Mayor Sacco and the commissioners are hiring these attorneys.
Are the commissioners worried about protecting the constitutional rights of the supervisor of the Public Works department and his employees, or is Mayor Sacco worried about protecting himself?
Were the lawyers hired with open ended contracts because Sacco wants to make sure that no one in the DPW talks to the state Attorney General’s office and spills the beans about the rumored political work they have been doing while on town time? Is Sacco trying to protect himself and others in the administration from damage to their gold plated salaries and prospective pensions?

Sincerely,
Javier Fuentes-Better
