Dear Editor:
I don’t know if it was …The luck of the Irish or Global Warming but whatever it was I’ll take it anytime.
The evening of March 14, 2012 will go down in the record books for being the warmest day on record. It will also be known for the First Hoboken Irish Culture Festival.
The success of the evening can be attributed to many but the stand out in my opinion was Chris Halleron. Chris was the chief producer of the event. Unfortunately, Chris had only six weeks to pull it off and that’s exactly what he did. It was a great event with something for both the young and old, the Irish and those who wish they were Irish.
Thanks also go to Mayor Zimmer and all those that contributed to a great evening. And on behalf of all those volunteers of Adopt A Hoboken Soldier & the Hoboken American Legion I want to express our sincere thanks for the generous donation made from the profits of the Festival to Adopt A Hoboken Soldier.
We salute all for a job well done!
