Turtle checks in to La Quinta to lay eggs

SECAUCUS – On none other than World Turtle Day, May 23, a turtle made its way to the LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Secaucus and checked in to lay its eggs.
The turtle was discovered by LaQuinta staff members after it had dug a hole in their flowerbed. The staff called the Hackensack Riverkeeper for advice and fenced off the area around the eggs. The turtle laid eight eggs and then left. It could take up to three months for the eggs to hatch.
