Safety first

Dear Editor:
We live across the street from the water park at 3rd and Madison. There is a lot of traffic both pedestrian and vehicular. A 25 mile/hour speed limit is a bit much for the amount of children crossing the street to get to the park. Along with the fact some cars exceed the speed limit this becomes very dangerous. I feel that speed bumps, even if just seasonal would greatly reduce the risk of accidents. I would ask the fine folks at City Hall to please look into this for the safety of the children not only at this park but at other parks around town.
