A funeral mass took place June 30 at Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst, for Domenico Dirienzo, 86. He died June 27. Mr. Dirienzo was born and raised in Altamura, Bari, Italy, came to the United States in 1969 and resided in Hoboken for most of his life, living in Lyndhurst for the past several years. In Italy, he was a farmer. He came to America to provide a better life for his family. He was a very hard working man who had various jobs in the United States, among which were, a Butcher for Charles Miller Co, Secaucus for eight years. He also worked for a pencil company in Hudson County and lastly as a Custodian for the Hoboken Board of Education for 10 years before he retired.
Domenico is survived by his wife, Anna Rosa (nee Clemente); by his children, Tommaso and his wife, Anna Maria (nee Picerno), Rosa and her husband, Bartolo Capuano, Maria and her husband, John Przychodzki, John and his wife, Tami (nee Hasenbalg), Onofrio and his wife, Janine (nee Straccamore), Antonia and her husband, Vincent Lombardi, Giuseppe and his wife, Ana Maria (nee Ponton) and Massimo and his wife, Vivian (nee Vakili), by his twenty grandchildren, and one great grandson, and by his brothers and sisters who reside in Altamura, Italy, Giuseppe and Maria, Onofrio and Francesca, Rosa and Luigi and Francesca and Domenico. Services arranged by the Nazare Memorial Home, Lyndhurst.
