NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND — Hackensack University Health Network has announced that it has signed an affiliation agreement with Palisades Medical Center in order to collaborate and expand clinical programs and services. There was a previous agreement between the two medical centers earlier this year which this one supersedes.
“This partnership is a great opportunity for both Hackensack University Health Network and Palisades to utilize our respective strengths in the best way possible while sharing resources and best practices,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer of Hackensack University Health Network. “Palisades Medical Center has already established a reputation for quality care, and we are committed to continuing this mission with them. We look forward to a longstanding, successful relationship.”
This will continue to improve the medical care in Palisades that is provided for patients in Hudson and southern Bergen County.
“For more than 30 years, Palisades has dedicated itself to providing superior healthcare,” said Bruce J. Markowitz, president and chief executive officer of Palisades Medical Center. “It is our imperative to develop a relationship with a medical institution that shares our commitment and mission to the communities that we serve. We look forward to our partnership with an award-winning medical center, such as Hackensack University Medical Center, to strengthen our current programs and plan for the future.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Hackensack University Medical Center’s clinical resources will support Palisades’ existing programs, while also enhancing the overall level of diagnostics, treatment, and technology. Hackensack University Medical Center is also committed to expanding the availability of physicians and to supporting additional specialty care programs.
