Young gets business certification

Martin Young of Hoboken has been awarded the professional designation of Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) by the Turnaround Management Association, an international organization dedicated to the financial and operational restructuring industry. Mr. Young is a director at Loughlin Management Partners Company, a Manhattan-based management consulting firm, and an active member of the New York chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). The CTP designation provides an objective measure and recognition of expertise related to workouts, restructurings and corporate renewal. Applicants must meet specific standards of education, experience, and professional conduct. They must also successfully complete a rigorous examination that covers financial and managerial accounting and tax, turnaround and crisis management, and bankruptcy and UCC law. CTPs are required to participate in continuing education programs to maintain their certification.
