Dear Editor
I taught what is now called social studies. It was one time called teaching history. History shows that the Take Back Secaucus was a successful revolution. I was proud to be part of that revolution. Check my record. Sorry to say that history also shows that in time, every revolution puts on the robes of the tyrant it has deposed. It was not enough to be in control of the Town, Independent Gonnelli, wanted to impress the county by taking control the school system. That is why it was so imperative that he had to come out against and defeat me in the last Board of Education election. My records shows that I mess up what politicians have so tidily arranged.
Now that Mayor Gonnelli, is in control of the Secaucus Board of Education he can now implement his plan, or should I say the Hudson County Plan, to manipulate our system. When more on the proposed development and the agreement between Hartz Mountain and the town of Secaucus becomes known I plan to expose Mayor Gonelli’s plan, once the county informs him of what is their plan he must follow.
The calling the Special Meeting of the Secaucus Board of Education called by Mayor Gonnelli’s people on the board, on the pre-text that the mayor and council would not proceed without the board’s consent was not a joke. Not to mention the process used in the taking of the vote and the legality of the process taken. What policy did they follow? I cannot wait to read the reporting of the reporters covering that meeting. Trust me I will fill in the blanks if need be.
Make no mistake about it, the County will make the decision on who is going to replace our Superintendent, Business Administrator, and where the new school is to be built, and what firm will build it, not Mayor Gonnelli. He has sold out and is looking for a county job, end of story.
True to their word, the Take Back Secaucus Team, has taken the Secaucus School System back to the good old days when politicians called the shots not the Superintendent.
Gonnelli has become the tyrant he deposed.
