Hoboken council to discuss development proposal for NJ Transit land; Watch meeting here LIVE

HOBOKEN — The city has put forth a proposal for the 52 acres of land that NJ Transit owns near the city’s southern border. NJ Transit has, in the past, offered its own proposal, but activists in the city said the development they were proposing was too large. It included an office tower and residential housing.
There is some debate over whether the transit agency needs the city’s blessing, but the city and the agency have been in talks for several years regarding what they would want in that area.
