MULLAHEY, MARGARET

A funeral mass was celebrated Sept. 13 at St. Joseph’s Church for Margaret Mullahey of Jersey City. She passed away Sept. 10. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, Margaret immigrated to the United States when she was 19 years old. Marge, as she was known to her friends, lived in Jersey City for over 50 years, where she was active in both her community and her parish of St. Joseph’s Church. She worked for many years in the Executive Dining Room of McGraw Hill in New York and later as the crossing guard at the intersection of Baldwin and Newark Avenues. Margaret was predeceased by her husband James Mullahey and son Kevin Mullahey. She is survived by her children, Mary Boggiano (Richard), Thomas Mullahey (Laura) and James Mullahey (Linda); 7 grandchildren, James, Thomas, Sean and Daniel Mullahey, Jonathan, Christian and Katrina Boggiano; and 6 greatgrandchildren. She was also the adopted mother and friend of Maryann Theobald. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
