Gifted

As a result of the knowledge gained from The Rutgers Gifted Education Program, Mrs. Wurst applied for a grant for new curriculum materials and identification instruments. As a result, the district was recently awarded with a grant from The Secaucus Public Education Foundation to enhance the gifted and talented program. The grant has provided the district with curriculum units with the rigor, relevance, depth, breadth and pace required for academically gifted and talented students. These curriculum units are from The Center for Talent Development at The College of William and Mary as well as The University of Connecticut. In addition to these curriculum units, a new identification instrument has been added to hone domain specific gifts and talents.
