Hoboken Charter School students off until Tuesday, following blaze

HOBOKEN — Students at the Hoboken Charter School are getting an extended summer vacation after a fire swept through its top floor on Thursday morning.
George Cahn of Cahn Communications of Hoboken said Friday morning that the students have been given Friday and Monday off, while school officials work on “assessing potential interim space.”

Officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze, which happened on opening day for the Hoboken public schools.
