DINICOLA, ANNA MARIE

A mass of Christian burial was held Sept. 22 at St. Mary’s Church, Deal, for Anna Marie DiNicola, 94, of Allenhurst, formerly of Jersey City. She passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 16. ‘Nan’ was born in Jersey City in 1917 and worked in the garment industry in New York. In her retirement, she became the assistant librarian at the Jersey City Public Library where she worked for over twenty years. Nan had a rich and full life; she travelled around the world, and she loved dancing, going to the beach and babysitting her cousin’s children. Nan was a faithful communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City. Nan was predeceased by her sister Pauline DiNicola, her sister, Carol Lettieri and her brother in law, Lawrence Murphy. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Murphy, Toms River; her brother in law, Victor Lettieri, Ocean Township; her cousins Theresa and Robert Santoro, Allenhurst, who cared for her during her final illness; and many cousins and extended family. Her smile and love for life will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Services arranged by the Buckley Funeral Home, Asbury Park.
