To the Editor:
After reading the Jersey Journal and Newark Ledger articles about lowering the passing grade to 65 and other cities in New Jersey to 60 as a passing grade, I have to ask: where and when does this nonsense stop?
How are they going to pass SAT tests? Or are they going to lower the passing grade for those also? What’s next, just show up at school on time and get a passing grade? It’s no wonder our education system is going down the tube.
How are these children going to make out at the college level when they can’t do grade school and high school work? I think this decision smells to high heaven, whoever made it. It doesn’t say much for our education system.
